The High Performance Computing Tools group (HPCTools) is a research group in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Houston and IACS at Stony Brook University. The group was created by Dr. Barbara Chapman who joined the department in Spring 1999 and is being relocated from the University of Houston to join Stony Brook University. Our mission is to perform cutting-edge research and development in programming languages, compilers, tools and applications for performance, productivity and power in HPC systems. We strive to increase programmer productivity, enhance application performance, develop novel implementation technologies that anticipate architectural changes and emerging user needs, and provide reference implementations of our ideas.
